Should Realtors use social media to sell homes?

YES!

If used correctly, social media channels can help Realtors and other real estate professionals stand out from the crowd — with the goal of gaining new clients and selling many more properties.

Social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn can be used for lead generation and help Realtors become influencers in their communities.

How is this possible? Well, consider this: More than 1 billion people in the world are on Facebook, including more than 175 million Americans – that’s practically 1 in 2 American adults. Twitter has surpassed 400 million accounts. And LinkedIn boasts well over 200 million users.

Let’s face it: the days of relying on Yellow Pages and Valpak are mostly gone, so savvy Realtors have to get comfortable with internet marketing, particularly social media, to showcase their expertise.

Realtors need to understand the benefits of social media’s real-time interactions and the importance of sharing videos, photos and other content when showing properties and creating buzz about them.

Procon Management Services can help Realtors learn this. We are offering a no-cost workshop to train Realtors and their teams on the best practices of using social media to grow their businesses.

Our workshop will provide strategies, tips, and techniques on how best to integrate social media into the real estate selling models.
